"Adventures, I used to call them. I used to think that they were things the wonderful folk of the stories went out and looked for, because they wanted them, because they were exciting and life was a bit dull...But that's not the way of it with the tales that really mattered, or the ones that stay in the mind. Folk seem to have just landed in them, usually...I expect they had a lot of chances, like us, of turning back, only they didn't. And if they had, we shouldn't know, because they'd have been forgotten."

Super moon, Moon festival, more waiting

Last night was the super moon.... which was also a lunar eclipse. The kids were all up to watch it. The moon rising was spectacular, but then the clouds rolled in. Thankfully they cleared up and we were able to see a lot of the eclipse and the blood moon.

It was also the moon festival in China. We are still learning about all these traditions and festivals in China. So there wasn't much celebrating for us, but we read about it and learned about it. We can't wait to celebrate with Zoey next year!

As for the waiting.... We send our dossier last week, and are waiting for it to be sent. Hoping to hear from our agency that its all been sent. The government is closed there for  another holiday, and we really wanted to get everything there before. But our paperwork snags and delays held us up and it sounds silly, but each day it doesn't get logged in, it delays us more than a day getting to her. And we still have a lot of steps left to go.

We still have our donation site up. It is tax deductible so you'll get a receipt via email to use on your taxes!
