"Adventures, I used to call them. I used to think that they were things the wonderful folk of the stories went out and looked for, because they wanted them, because they were exciting and life was a bit dull...But that's not the way of it with the tales that really mattered, or the ones that stay in the mind. Folk seem to have just landed in them, usually...I expect they had a lot of chances, like us, of turning back, only they didn't. And if they had, we shouldn't know, because they'd have been forgotten."

Surgery update

Alina's surgery went well. The doctor was pleased with how everything went. She went into surgery at 7:30 am and we went to meet her in the PACU at 1pm.

See resting comfortably in her new room up in rehab. Saturday she starts on the prone cart and light therapy. Monday she wil be starting therapy and working between the prone cart, wheelchair and rolling stander.

Overall, she's doing ok. Crabby she can't get up but enjoying the princess treatment. :)
If you would like, you can add me as a friend on Facebook for pictures and more updates. I just have my phone here right now and blogger doesn't like it.

Thank you for praying for Alina, and all the good thoughts and emails and texts. We appreciate them.

Also- please consider supporting the Ronald McDonald house.
