Oh what a week! Started off with an appointment at the Gillette CP orthopedics. They took an x-ray of her hips first (which look great!) and then we had a second evaluation. The doctor is really pleased with her progress, and is impressed at how well she can walk without her AFO's! She was up and down the hallway showing off. We scheduled a gait analysis and a spasticity evaluation in the next few months. She is being evaluated for possible Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, or SDR. The SDR would eleviate some of the spasticity via nerve clipping in the spine. The reason this may be important for her is because most of her spasticity is on the insides of her legs, making her feet turn in. PT has been working for a year to strengthen the outer muscles and while its helped tremendously, and she's walking much better/feet straighter, the concern now is as she grows those muscles and tendons that are tight may cause torosion on the bones in her legs, which would have to be surgically corrected as she gets older, and is much more involved (cutting bones, etc) which we would prefer to avoid. For obvious reasons.
So, all of that information should provide everyone with all the little mysteries that make up her body. :)
Anthony was also sicker earlier this week. He's so puny when he's sick, but he bounced back pretty quickly and thankfully whatever he had didn't spread through the house.
We are still waiting for snow. Al especially is hoping for about 2ft of snow to fall. He said all at once... but then we all figured that 2ft of snow suddenly falling from the sky might just crush everything it lands on. :)
Onto to Project 365-Week 2 (my slacker 365 :))

Also, my friends are adopting again! Their sweet girl is in China and she has amniotic banding. She is in danger of losing one of her feet because of this, and the quicker they get her home, the better for her. She's just a little squirt at only a year old! Please
