"Adventures, I used to call them. I used to think that they were things the wonderful folk of the stories went out and looked for, because they wanted them, because they were exciting and life was a bit dull...But that's not the way of it with the tales that really mattered, or the ones that stay in the mind. Folk seem to have just landed in them, usually...I expect they had a lot of chances, like us, of turning back, only they didn't. And if they had, we shouldn't know, because they'd have been forgotten."

We had a fantastic vacation in sunny, hot...

Yep! We packed up the crazy and headed South during the nations largest heat wave. :) While Minnesotan's were suffering through a heat index of 115, we were enjoying the beach and NO HUMIDITY! :) And to fully home our insanity, we drove. 1100 miles. One.Way. :)

The boys were thrilled to tour the Battleship Texas and the USS Lexington. Alina was thrilled to swim in hotel pools every night, and all three kids really enjoyed the beaches of Galveston and Corpus Christi. We got to visit with Auntie Jan and cousins Amber, Nathan, Jackson and Robbie. Alexander says hanging with Jack was his favorite part of the trip. :)

Could this BE any cuter?

The kids all loved the ocean!

The boys hanging out in the surf

A quiet moment between these two. :)

Playing with cousin Robbie

She loved the beach, had so much fun!

The fishing boats came so close to shore, much to the boys' delight.

Touring the Battleship Texas

Hanging with Texas cousins. :)

And all Alina wanted to do... 'wimming'
