"Adventures, I used to call them. I used to think that they were things the wonderful folk of the stories went out and looked for, because they wanted them, because they were exciting and life was a bit dull...But that's not the way of it with the tales that really mattered, or the ones that stay in the mind. Folk seem to have just landed in them, usually...I expect they had a lot of chances, like us, of turning back, only they didn't. And if they had, we shouldn't know, because they'd have been forgotten."

The casts came off!

Very exciting indeed! The casts came off on Weds and we were so happy to see them go! The first thing Alina did when they came off was sit up, smile and say 'Want down! Go bath!' :) So we stopped and bought some fun new bath toys on the way home, she was thrilled, and perfectly pruned after an hour long bath Weds night. :)

And she has new skills, check her out!

Standing on her own, has enough trunk strength to support herself and balance! She can even take a step or two. The AFO's are amazing and perfect for what she needs now that her trunk has better muscle tone.

As for the rest of us? We are pretty tired of Winter, though this last week we've had a few days in the high 20's and low 30's, sure is more enjoyable to get outside in that kind of weather! The kids all love to be outside and are anticipating Spring.

Yay, Alina! You need to tell mommy to let you use the whirlpool tub downstairs :) Spring...spring...what is that again? I don't think we have spring in MN.

Becky,

I am just so amazed at Alina. When I saw her at the babyhouse, she was so different. If you were to look into her eyes...there was nothing but emptiness. Now, she is so alive and HAPPY. What a beautiful transformation.
