"Adventures, I used to call them. I used to think that they were things the wonderful folk of the stories went out and looked for, because they wanted them, because they were exciting and life was a bit dull...But that's not the way of it with the tales that really mattered, or the ones that stay in the mind. Folk seem to have just landed in them, usually...I expect they had a lot of chances, like us, of turning back, only they didn't. And if they had, we shouldn't know, because they'd have been forgotten."

And we wait

We found out last week that our dossier was NOT submitted before the two week shutdown. It should have been submitted on the 15th then. We have no idea if it was or not, but praying it was so our sweet girl doesn't have to wait a day longer than necessary to know she has a family who loves her. I pray we have a travel date in our email inbox this week sometime.

In the meantime, we've been trying to keep busy and pass the time with as much fun as possible! We've had friends over swimming, went on picnics, made cool t-shirts with friends, visited family, golfing with Al, and spent time hanging out enjoying the summer.

'fishing' in the yard. It doesn't take much to occupy us. :) And you have to be pretty cute to get away with wearing an outfit this funky!

Concentrating so hard!

Anthony got an early birthday present. He was getting too big for the little 12" Tonka bike, so he picked out a new 16" bike. Its John Deere and he thinks he's hot stuff!

We made these cool shirts with Hilary and kids. They turned out so great!

The boys were very proud of them

Anth asked to have his hair cut. Its been so hot, and while he likes his long hair I knew he would ask for a cut sooner or later. :) Those blue eyes sure sparkle no matter the length of his hair!

Swimming! Our friends (minus one sister who had to go to a doctors appt... bummer!) came to play at our house for the afternoon. It was miserably hot and they spent two hours swimming in the pool. Ok they spent 2 hours showing off their jumps into the pool.

T-man had so many creative (and fun!) jumps, but this was by far my favorite! :)

Mr Acrobat here was jumping so far I was afraid he was going to jump the full 16ft right out the other side of the pool! He was catching some serious air!

This is literally all Anthony does when he's in the pool. Jump, swim back to the ladder, climb it, repeat. He's an excellent swimmer and can swim under water the full length of the pool!

Even Princess A got in on the jumping action. Last time they were here swimming she didn't want to get in. This time she sat on the ladder for a few minutes and then said 'its really hot out here' and jumped in and swam the entire time!

Keep praying for our girl and for a quick travel date! I'm still stressing majorly about money, our FSP still sits at $0, and its not like I expect anyone to donate to our adoption expenses, but its still a bit depressing. Etsy still has lots of things available, and many are on a special sale right now, so check it out!

Hi Becky,

We're in St.Michael.

If I remember correctly you're either in St.Cloud or Becker??

I have always thought Alina was such a little doll :)

We're hoping to go back soon for another little boy, if it can work out financially.

We just brought Artiom home in April , he's such a sweetie pie :)
