"Adventures, I used to call them. I used to think that they were things the wonderful folk of the stories went out and looked for, because they wanted them, because they were exciting and life was a bit dull...But that's not the way of it with the tales that really mattered, or the ones that stay in the mind. Folk seem to have just landed in them, usually...I expect they had a lot of chances, like us, of turning back, only they didn't. And if they had, we shouldn't know, because they'd have been forgotten."

That was the temp today. In Minnesota. In March. It was GORGEOUS! Its been gloomy and rainy the last few days, and sitting in Church this morning and having the sun jump out of the clouds was amazing! We had an errand to run after Church, and by the time we came back through town it was 57 on the bank clock!

So our driveway is freshly chalked courtesy of the 4yr old and Cr*yola, the dirt was thoroughly played in, and my car was cleaned out, aired out, and washed! It was a nice change from being in the basement hanging sheetrock. The boys even got out their golf clubs and hit some balls around the yard.

Oh yeah... our 'other' project. We've been finishing our basement this winter! When we bought the house 5yrs ago we thought we could get the basement finished with no problem. Another child and 5yrs later... here we are getting it done now. The bathroom is done, thankfully, and its beautiful. Also down there is another bedroom with walk in closet (that will eventually be our bedroom), a storage room, laundry/utility room, family room, walk in closet by the patio door, and a playroom.

The playroom is cool. Its the crawl space under the entryway (we have a split level) and its 6ftx10ft..... 39" high. Every kid that comes over just loves it under there. Its plenty big for their stuff and its such a fun space! It will be really nice to finally have the walls done and some decent carpet down there for warmth, as right now its just a remnant on the floor and a rug.

Hopefully it will be done before this gorgeous weather is here to stay! Its alot less fun working down there when its so nice outside!
